THE RESIDENTIAL COURSE
Continual Transformation
Power it’s the ability to sustain pleasure and release pain. These emotional ups and downs reveal the path of continual transformation. More Power to You is the way of ever greater fullness of life. Participants learn to consciously engage in the rebirthing cycle, the divine mystery that is nature's way. When death is experienced as the opportunity for new life, everyday moments of change become sacramental. The Creator’s ongoing activity is embodied, here and now, as the old self gives way to the new. Participants in this course learn how the transformational power of love means letting go of, and giving, life. To live this way is to be a spiritual adult, joining the Creator in the responsibility for creating the new life which is always coming into being.
The course flows like a river through the landscape of experience. Initially participants are given guidance regarding Presence, how and where to consciously center attention. The four primary lenses for this focusing are Soul, Spirit, Mind, and Body. Each is concretely explored. All are relied on throughout the journey. With renewed awareness of the moment, participants next discover themselves reflected in the Communality that is natural to life. They learn the power of emotion in revealing the current meaning of their partnership. From here, the river gets rough, coursing into the land of Betrayal, where the shadows of past trauma hold persistent forms of self-deception. What follows then is a direct confrontation with Fear so that conscious choice can replace unconscious avoidance. By this point, participants are ready for the journey into their Resistance, where whatever is held in their tension, illness, and other symptoms can be revealed and released.
The second half of the course takes participants into the land of Transformation. Here the movements of the rebirthing cycle are identified with the creative process. Recurrent experiences of Amazement, Surrender, Passion, and Fulfillment become recognizable landmarks as the journey into the divine dream unfolds. Participants meet archetypal guides at each of these markers. The Mystic knows how to be receptive to the wonder of what is coming to be. The Healer has expertise in letting go of what needs to die. The Guardian rises up to protect the new life that is emerging. The Explorer celebrates the newfound vitality.
At each class along the way, participants are given tools to help them recognize where they are, and make well informed choices about how to interact with the ever changing landscape. These tools include structured forms of meditation, reflection, and interaction, engaging Soul, Spirit, Mind, and Body. All tools are made for ongoing use as the journey continues beyond this course. The tools are simple, easily passed on. All along the way, other participants serve as mirrors which reflect and stretch the image of the new self that is always emerging.
